Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Critical Care Nurse to join our team. As a member of our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals requiring specialized cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary nursing duties to patients requiring cardiovascular care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust care plans as needed
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed
  • Participate in educational programs and training sessions to enhance clinical skills

Requirements

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years recent Surgical experience
  • Completion of a recognized Critical Care course preferred
  • Ability to comply with the physical demands of the unit
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
