Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Native Mental Health Therapist to join our team. This is a full-time position that will provide therapy using a variety of modalities within Clinical Services. The successful candidate must have substantial experience providing clinical assessments and subsequent psychotherapy.


Responsibilities
  • Administer and analyze screening and assessment tools.
  • Perform assessments and intensive therapy for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Research.
  • Program consultations.

Requirements
  • A Master of Social Work or Psychology degree is required.
  • Eligible for supervised practice licensing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario or Ontario College of Social Service Workers and Social Workers.
  • Five or more years providing psychotherapy and evidence-based treatment and interventions (i.e., DBT, CBT, behaviour therapy); substantial experience utilizing a variety of treatment modalities in the field of Mental Health/Addictions Services particularly relating to Anishinabek clients; Additional assessment courses and experience is preferred.
  • The ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Counselling and Clinical Support Services Manager in relation to service requirements; is a registered member, in good standing, of a professional body such as the College of Social Service Workers and Social Workers, or College of Registered Psychotherapists, etc.
  • A valid Class 'G' Driver's License; access to a reliable, personal vehicle; $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Search; including a Vulnerable Sector Search.

Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated at $33.88 to $44.20 per hour, based on 32.5 hours of work per week.
