We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Reconnect Community Health Services. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will provide critical support services to individuals with mental health concerns.

Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect an estimated salary range of $21.35 to $26.50 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid sick days, vacation time, and health and RRSP benefits.
Job DescriptionAs a Mental Health Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing on-site assessments, intake, and discharge planning for clients
- Liaising with existing supports and assistance with goal setting and planning
- Coordinating client access to short-term crisis beds
- Providing individualized on-site supports, including addressing immediate housing needs and accessing financial aid
- Liaising and collaborating with other mental health service providers and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree and/or community college diploma in social services or a related field
- A minimum of two years' experience in direct service delivery to adults with serious mental illness and addictions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working effectively as a member of a team
