Construction Estimator Job Description

Gottardo Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for conducting cost analyses, preparing estimates, and reviewing project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the tender and quantity take-off process on multiple estimating projects.
  • Deal directly with subtrades in preparation of tender documents.
  • Work with the Chief Estimator to close tenders and proposals.
  • Manage the transition of successful project estimating to the project management team for execution.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of estimating experience within the GTA.
  • Experience estimating projects in the scope of $500K - $1M.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  • Experience in cost analysis and preparing estimates.
  • Ability to review and interpret project specifications.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in Construction Management and Estimating.
