The Construction Project Coordination Specialist will be located offsite and typically report directly to the Operation Manager. This role involves overseeing project planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation from start to finish in accordance with schedules, specifications, and budgets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Project Manager to ensure site project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards align with company policy and contract specifications are met.
  • Complying with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established timelines.
  • Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimating project changes and impacts.
  • Developing and implementing quality control programs.
  • Building and maintaining customer and supplier/vendor relationships.
  • Preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules to clients.
  • Trade and subcontractor coordination.
  • Document control.

In order to excel in this position, you should have:

  • A strong background in project coordination, preferably in the construction sector.
  • Engineering degree or diploma, or relevant experience.
  • 3-6 years of experience in project coordination.

Proficient knowledge and understanding of contract management, construction scheduling, planning, and execution, blue print reading, project structural design interpretation, financial statements, organization, and time management.

Also proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and JD Edwards or Oracle-based ERP system is an asset.
