Job Title: Child and Youth Care Worker

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Child and Youth Care Workers in Red Deer, Alberta. In this role, you'll be pivotal in a group home setting, offering specialized care to children and youth with complex behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a relationship to guide and support youth through mentorship, role modeling, and positive reinforcement
  • Supervise children/youth at home and in the community
  • Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations
  • Participate in the Care Team through the ongoing development of care plans and programs
  • Perform routine general program responsibilities such as cleaning and organization

Requirements:
  • Direct experience working with youth with complex behavioral and mental health needs

  • Trauma Informed Care understanding and proven experience

  • Strong technology and computer skills
  • Completion of a Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work is an asset

Minimum Base Level Requirements:
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License
  • Alberta 10-year Driver's Abstract (10 years driving experience is not required)
  • Alberta auto insurance with $2-million liability coverage
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C + AED (two day in person training completed)
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the last 6 months
  • Intervention Record Check obtained from Children Services within the last 6 months
  • Your own reliable four door vehicle to transport clients in
