Job Summary

Vantage Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our group home team, you will provide support and guidance to youth in a residential setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each youth
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to youth, promoting healthy relationships and coping mechanisms
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Collaborate with other staff members and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for youth
  • Document and report on youth progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work or child and youth care
  • Experience working with youth in a residential setting, preferably in a group home environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with youth and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual support
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
