Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Vantage Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Child and Youth Worker to work with children and youth in a group home setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily care and support to our residents, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and assisting with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and support to children and youth in a group home setting
  • Prepare and serve meals, as well as assist with housekeeping duties
  • Assist with daily activities, such as homework and life skills training
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support the needs of each resident
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents
  • Document resident progress and provide regular updates to the team
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home setting an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
