About the Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. This exciting opportunity allows you to work with individuals experiencing significant mental health difficulties, providing evidence-informed crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment.
Job Description: As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day clinical operations within services of AMH Access 24/7. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality, client-focused, recovery-based care to those seeking assistance/services within Addictions and Mental Health. Your duties will include educating clients and families on addictions and mental health initiatives and resources, as well as coordinating clinical operations and providing crisis intervention and stabilization services.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will require a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy. Active registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college is also required. Additionally, you should possess working knowledge of services with AMH Access 24/7 and external partners such as the Edmonton Police, Emergency Medical Services, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize and organize multiple demands and inquiries.
