About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Sales Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of sales associates to drive sales growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and increase sales revenue.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales associates to improve their sales skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive in the market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales leadership role in a retail environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop action plans to drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of the sporting goods industry and its trends.
