About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Hardgoods Department at Sport Chek. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve departmental sales targets and drive business growth.
- Lead and manage a team of sales associates to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and coaching sessions to provide feedback and guidance to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sales initiatives and promotions.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive in the market.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in the retail industry.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and identify opportunities for growth.
