About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Hardgoods Department at Sport Chek. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales associates to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and coaching sessions to ensure team members are meeting sales targets and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and promotions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and vendors to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive in the market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of sales growth and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry an asset.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
