Job Description

The Credit and Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable in a Business-to-Business setting. Key responsibilities include liaising with customers, collaborating with internal units, and reviewing orders within company guidelines.

You will assess credit risk, review customer credit limits, and make recommendations as needed. Additional duties include preparing packages for referral and bad debt write-offs, and assisting with training new employees in the Credit department.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education
  • Minimum 1 year experience in collections, preferably in a Business-to-Business environment
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills to handle large account portfolios
  • Intermediate analytical skills to understand corporate policies and procedures
  • Experience with supplier portals is an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
