Job Title: Automation Manager

At BioVectra, we are seeking an experienced Automation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of automation systems across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical development and implementation of automation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and commissioning reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operations teams, ensuring smooth operation of automation systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology, applying this knowledge to improve our processes and systems.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 5-7 years of experience in automation design engineering and project execution.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, DCS platforms, and automation systems.
  • Expertise in DeltaV system and experience with biotech manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with computer systems validation practices (GAMP) and authoring/reviewing standard operating procedures.
