Job Title: Automation Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Manager to join our team at BioVectra. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Design and commission automation systems, including PLC programming and configuration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure automation systems meet business requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operations and maintenance teams
  • Lead automation design development and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Perform technical reviews and audits to ensure automation systems meet quality and safety standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications and operating procedures

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5-7 years of experience in automation design engineering and project execution
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, DCS platforms, and automation systems
  • Expertise in DeltaV system and biotech industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
