About the Opportunity

The Clinical Psychologist (PhD) is an essential member of the VG Med/Surg/Cancer Care Program within the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care portfolio of Nova Scotia Health Authority. Psychologists are responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating services, as well as educating and supervising students. This is a full-time, long-assignment position with 75 hours bi-weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide psychological assessment and interventions, including psychotherapy, risk assessments, and make treatment recommendations to other members of the team and healthcare providers.

* Deliver programming with other members of the Multi-Organ Transplant Program to patients living with advanced kidney disease.

* Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide clinical care and work environment.

Requirements:

* Doctoral degree from a recognized, accredited program in Clinical Psychology with a strong rehabilitation or clinical health psychology background.

* Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP).

* A minimum of 2 years of training and experience working in rehabilitation and organ transplant programs is preferred.

Benefits and Incentives

* $50.19 - $62.73 hourly rate.
