We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Aerospace Design Engineer to design cutting-edge aerospace structural and mechanical installations, modifications, and repairs using CATIA V5.

The successful candidate will provide ongoing support for existing designs and products, as well as develop new designs and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop aerospace structural and mechanical installations, modifications, and repairs using CATIA V5.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing designs and products.
  • Develop design documents to demonstrate airworthiness compliance with aerospace regulations.
  • Prepare reports and data packages for design approval and certification.
  • Liaise with OEMs, Transport Canada, and other regulatory approval authorities for design approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Aerospace or Mechanical degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • A minimum of three years of aerospace design work experience.
  • A minimum of three years of CATIA V5 experience.
  • Previous experience with Transport Canada or other regulatory approval authorities is an asset.
  • Experience with CFD modeling is also an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace materials and processes.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of PCs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
