Lead a Sustainable Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Director and Strategic Consultant to join our team in London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead our sustainability efforts, developing and implementing strategies to drive positive change and ensure long-term success. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams to advance Introba's position as leaders in the market.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sustainable Planning and Integration Strategies: Collaborate with design teams to develop sustainable approaches for district and urban scale developments. Facilitate workshops and engagement events to identify and prioritize objectives and goals.
  • Sustainability Benchmarking and Assessment: Support the development of business streams around assessment certifications. Explore opportunities for certification routes based on industry standards like BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel, LEED, Living Building Challenge, and Passivhaus.
  • Thought Leadership, Research + Development: Contribute to Introba's positioning as leaders in the field of sustainability. Participate in the management of our internal annual R+D programme, assist in its delivery, and work with external partners like universities.
  • Decarbonisation and Carbon: Support whole-life carbon and life cycle teams. Develop decarbonisation and building performance workstreams.
  • Expanding our Strategic Consultancy Services: Work as a key member of the Sustainability Team to evolve and expand consultancy services provided.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training programmes for clients and colleagues in Sustainability and the wider UK and international Introba Team.
  • Leadership Duties
    • Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
    • Leads by example and mentors staff.
    • Meet regularly with team members to address issues and create action plans. Conduct team performance reviews and support talent growth within the company.
    • Recommend training requirements, partner with HR on team design issues, and recruit top talent to support growth in the UK.
    • Influence effectively inside and outside the organisation as required.

  • Active listener with superb interpersonal skills and collaboration in a diverse team.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Project management experience, particularly delivering quality results and exceeding client expectations.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng, PEng, PE or equivalent).
  • Continuous improvement mindset and approach.
