Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Whisky Johns bar & Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
  • Train staff in food preparation and handling
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team to provide excellent customer service. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
