We are seeking a skilled Mattress Maker to join our team at Les Matelas Lapensee Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixture parts.
Key Responsibilities- Woodworking and Assembly: Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.
- Quality Control: Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards.
- Record Keeping: Record information on products inspected.
- Repair and Maintenance: Make minor adjustments and repairs to defective parts or products.
- Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and manual dexterity are essential for this role.
- Work Environment: The work site environment is noisy, and you must be able to work in a fast-paced production setting.
- Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience in woodworking and assembly is an asset.
- Permanent Employment: We offer permanent employment with a 40-hour workweek.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
