Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, assisting radiologists, and providing direction to student technologists and staff trainees.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
- Assist radiologists during procedures and provide technical support as needed
- Input patient-specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- Provide direction and guidance to student technologists and staff trainees
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program and a recognized program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Two years of recent experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT
- Teaching experience and ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the public
- Knowledge of current research evidence and best practices in medical imaging
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
