Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, assisting radiologists, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures with precision and accuracy
  • Assist radiologists during procedures and provide technical support
  • Input patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Provide direction and guidance to student technologists and staff trainees
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program and a recognized program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Two years of recent experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience and ability to educate clients and others
  • Knowledge of best practices and current research evidence in medical imaging
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
