About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Courier to join our team at Sarita Food Wholesale. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Pick-up Services: Safely transport goods and packages to customers and businesses, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of items received and delivered, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Navigation and Route Planning: Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess an Air Brakes Endorsement and a Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to lift, carry, and maneuver packages and goods.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and initiative in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Experience: Previous experience in delivery or transportation is an asset.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
