Courier Van Driver Job Description

Million Deliveries Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Courier Van Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting packages and messages to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Safely transport packages and messages to our customers, and pick up items from various locations.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and keep a record of items received and delivered.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, and sort packages for delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 13.5 kg (30 lbs) with ease.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent client focus, organizational skills, and punctuality.
Work Environment:

As a Courier Van Driver, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. You will be required to work 34 to 38 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
