Fire Alarm and Security Systems Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm and Security Systems Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Inspector, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing installed fire alarm and security systems, including panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and repair, and system testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair installed fire alarm and security systems
  • Organize and apply technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Program fire alarm, security, and access control system panels
  • Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner
  • Work on call and after-hours as required by customers
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Possess valid CFAA Certification
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience with fire alarm systems, including various vendors
  • Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete reports
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs
  • Ability to adhere to and implement safety guidelines and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
  • Bilingual French and English
  • Government Security Clearance
