Job Summary

Sysco Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and growing independent sales within a designated territory, with a focus on achieving profitable sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and customer loyalty.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Utilize consultative selling methods to articulate the Sysco value proposition and promote Specialty Meat & Seafood products, services, and promotions.
  • Manage and maintain profitable margins through effective negotiation and credit management.
  • Stay informed of market trends, product innovations, and competitors' products and sales, sharing information with customers as part of value-added services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage sales technology and business resources, providing end-to-end sales consultative services.
  • Continuously develop and improve sales skills and knowledge to optimize performance and career growth.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice industry.
  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • CPSA designation is preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans.
  • Demonstrated skills in consultative selling, networking, and negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with and influence key stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as this role requires travel.
