Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Control Support Associate to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our infection prevention and control team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor infection control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with provincial and regional guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on infection control practices, including routine practices and additional precautions.
  • Collaborate with site management and regional infection control leadership to ensure effective infection control measures are in place.
  • Conduct surveillance and monitoring to identify and prevent the spread of infections.
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote infection control best practices among staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinical healthcare setting or equivalent experience in microbiology, epidemiology, or diagnostics.
  • Previous experience in infection control is an asset.
  • Baccalaureate degree in a health-related field with a focus on direct clinical care, microbiology, epidemiology, or public health.
  • Certification in Infection Control from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Incorporated is preferred.
