IPEX, a leading provider of advanced plastic piping systems, is seeking a skilled Supply Planner to join our team in Oakville. As a key member of our Supply Chain Planning department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production build plans are optimized to meet customer service and inventory health objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed supply and capacity plans, identifying potential supply risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve supply objectives. You will also be responsible for developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing, to problem-solve and align on priorities and trade-off decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed supply and capacity plans to achieve customer service and inventory health objectives.
- Identify and communicate potential supply issues impacting the business, and conduct 'what-if' analysis for supply scenarios.
- Participate in projects, innovations, and new product capacity planning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to problem-solve and align on priorities and trade-off decisions.
- Provide instruction to colleagues on inventory deployment and balancing of inventory between locations to achieve fill rate and days of inventory objectives.
- Maintain planning master data and address non-productive inventory in alignment with Inventory Quality Ratio objectives.
- Drive timely and appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Supply Plan.
- Escalate in a timely manner and use good judgment to intervene as needed to achieve KPIs for fill rates and inventory.
- Create inventory projection reports for distribution capacity planning and Finance visibility on plan versus forecasts and working capital requirements.
Requirements:
- University degree with a specialty in Supply Chain, Computers, Data Analytics, or Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant supply planning experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing or CPG environment.
- Strong analytical ability, good judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer focus, with the drive for results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to interpret large amounts of data.
- Experience with data visualization and analysis using Power BI desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with supply planning software desirable (especially SAP-IBP).
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
