About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead the implementation of our Minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratio (mNPR) initiative. This is a critical role that will require strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert leadership and guidance to the mNPR implementation team, ensuring successful execution of the project plan.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including nursing leaders, union representatives, and operational teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate implementation barriers and risks.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure timely and transparent updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Fraser Health mNPR Project Leadership Team, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with nursing leaders to develop and implement strategies to engage nurses and nursing leaders in the continuous improvement of the mNPR implementation, workplace culture, and quality of nursing care.
  • Identify and propose solutions to address implementation barriers and risks, escalating concerns as necessary.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field, plus 10 years of recent experience in a complex healthcare environment, including 5 years of progressive project and/or change management leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of successful project implementation and leadership, with a focus on quality improvement and patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and metrics, and translate information into actionable insights for process and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge and understanding of nursing legislation, statutes, regulations, professional standards of practice, and how nursing practice contributes to quality of patient care.
  • Competency in project/program planning, implementation, management, and evaluation, with a focus on quality improvement and patient-centered care.
