Job Description

As a Technical Content Specialist at GIRO, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical documentation that supports the development of our applications. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with our development team to write online help content that is consistent, accurate, and easy to understand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with our development team to write online help content that is aligned with our application's features and functionalities.
  • Research and Propose Terminology: Conduct research to propose terminology that accurately represents our application's concepts and features.
  • Design and Layout: Participate in the design of windows and reports to ensure the ergonomics of our application's interface.
  • Release Notes: Write release notes that describe new features and enhancements.
  • User Guides and Online Help: Contribute to the creation of user guides and online help content for our applications.
  • Integration and Modernization: Integrate new features into existing user guides and online help content, and contribute to the modernization of our documentation.
  • Writing and Publishing: Write user guides and online help content for new application products, and participate in publishing user guides.
  • Documentation Standards: Participate in developing presentation standards for documentation and ensure they are followed.
  • Support and Validation: Provide writing support to various teams, and validate and prioritize documentation-related issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Languages: Bilingualism (French/English) is required, with mastery of English for writing and communicating with international clients.
  • Writing Skills: Proficiency in English writing is essential.
  • Skills: Strong linguistic, analytical, and communication skills are required.
  • Team Player: A team player with a curious, autonomous, and self-taught mindset is preferred.
  • Tools: Knowledge of content creation tools like MadCap Flare and/or GIT is an asset.
