About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to clinicians, veterinary students, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in building client caseload through outstanding client service
- Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with service areas
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Observe and evaluate patient health status, administer prescribed drugs, and perform diagnostic testing
- Prepare patients for surgery and set up surgical suites
- Provide technical support and guidance to students and staff
- 2-year College Diploma in Veterinary Technology
- Successful completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program
- Full membership in good standing with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician Examination and OAVT mandatory ethics exam
- One-year prior experience working as an RVT
- Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and organizational skills
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.00-$31.29 per hour and a dynamic work environment. The successful applicant will be required to provide proof of rabies titre.
