About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting clinicians with surgical procedures, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in building client caseload through outstanding client service
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with service areas
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Observe and evaluate patient health status, administer prescribed drugs, and perform diagnostic testing
  • Prepare patients for surgery and set up surgical suites
  • Assist clinicians with surgical procedures and monitor patient vital signs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to veterinary students, clinicians, and staff
Requirements:
  • 2-year College Diploma in Veterinary Technology
  • Successful completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program recognized by the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)
  • Full member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)
  • Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician Examination (VTNE) and OAVT mandatory ethics exam
  • One-year prior experience working as an RVT
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with common computer software, including Hospital Management Information System software
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.00-$31.29 per hour and a dynamic work environment that fosters collaboration and growth. The successful applicant will be required to provide proof of rabies titre.
