About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Rana Development Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Design and implement layouts for construction projects, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accuracy and quality of construction.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Perform physical tasks that involve bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
  • Meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in framing or carpentry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
