Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Develop and implement layouts for construction projects, using measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
- Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings.
- Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
- Handle heavy loads and materials, requiring physical strength and endurance.
