Process and Project Engineer

Our client, a growing consulting engineering firm based in Ontario and Quebec, is seeking a skilled Process and Project Engineer to join their team. This permanent position will involve supporting multi-disciplined engineering designs for the industrial and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce design deliverables for the completion of chemical and industrial projects.
  • Develop designs, studies, cost estimates, tender documents, and technical reports.
  • Provide project coordination and define scope and project objectives with clients.
  • Liaise with clients on technical requirements and project timelines.
  • Produce project deliverables, including scope definition, process flow diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Perform detailed calculations for mass and energy balances, pipe and pump sizing, and equipment sizing.
  • Prepare equipment technical specifications and make recommendations and selections based on project requirements.
  • Prepare specification and tender packages for vendors and contractor quotations.
  • Work with CAD technicians to produce construction and installation drawing packages.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and field work for commissioning and project support.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in industrial process design.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Office, Project).
  • Understanding of instrumentation and PLC systems.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset (but not required).
  • Valid driver's license.
