About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Buildings practice in Winnipeg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design of mechanical systems for various projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed designs, schematics, and specifications for mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve design and coordination issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers to ensure the development of their skills and expertise.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of deliverables, adhering to Stantec's quality control guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the buildings industry, with a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs and projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in building information modeling (BIM) and computer-aided design (CAD).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
