Senior Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Buildings practice in Winnipeg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design of mechanical systems for various projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project designs, specifications, and construction documents.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers.
- Conduct quality control checks on construction documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in design coordination meetings, client meetings, and other project-related activities.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the buildings industry, with a strong background in mechanical design and engineering.
- Professional engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in building information modeling (BIM) and computer-aided design (CAD).
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
