About the Role:

The Fort McKay First Nation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Director to lead the development and implementation of education programs for the community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education leadership and a deep understanding of First Nations culture and traditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement education programs that meet the needs of the community.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality education services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure the achievement of education goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community members, stakeholders, and government agencies.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
