Payroll Taxation Manager

As a key member of the Royal Bank of Canada's payroll team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll preparation and processing, tax filing and remittance, and benefits maintenance. Your expertise will be essential in leading a high-performing team that executes the highest standards of employee life cycle change and payroll delivery, in all employee tax matters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of payroll specialists in executing payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, and benefits maintenance.
- Develop and implement payroll procedures, controlling and supervising the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll-related payments.
- Ensure compliance with RBC internal control requirements, regulatory requirements, and RBC HR policies and programs in the delivery of payroll.
- Manage all payroll reports, time sheets, individual attendance and production records, and other related documentation; ensuring all data is updated within organizational Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Quebec, and our Corporation taxation group.
- Generate and reconcile all year-end tax forms and UAT for taxation updates.
- Must-have:
- Educational and professional background in employee life cycle and payroll management in a large organization.
- Experience of the principles and operation of payroll tax requirements essential.
- Strong experience with HR and Payroll Software applications. Experience of working with SAP is an advantage.
- Good understanding of internal controls and payroll accounting.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
