Payroll Taxation Manager

As a key member of the Royal Bank of Canada's payroll team, you will be responsible for leading the Canadian payroll taxation team and ensuring the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, and benefits maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a high-performing team that executes the highest standards of employee life cycle change and payroll delivery, in all employee tax matters.
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, benefits maintenance, and various special payments.
- Develop payroll procedures, controlling and supervising the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll-related payments.
- Ensure compliance with RBC internal control requirements, regulatory requirements, and RBC HR policies and programs in the delivery of payroll.
- Manage all payroll reports, time sheets, individual attendance and production records, and other related documentation; ensuring all data is updated within organizational Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Quebec, and our Corporation taxation group.
- Generate and reconcile all year-end tax forms and UAT for taxation updates.
- Educational and professional background in employee life cycle and payroll management in a large organization.
- Experience of the principles and operation of payroll tax requirements essential.
- Strong experience with HR and Payroll Software applications. Experience of working with SAP is an advantage.
- Good understanding of internal controls and payroll accounting.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
