Bakery Supervisor Job Description

At OLD BAGEL HOUSE, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train bakery staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Prepare and bake mixed dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Draw up production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
Work Environment:

The Bakery Supervisor will work in a fast-paced bakery environment, with frequent exposure to flour, sugar, and other ingredients. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
