Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Specialist to manage the movement of road traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists through temporary work areas. The ideal candidate will have a valid TCP and/or TWS accreditation, a Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record, and strong skills in interacting with colleagues and handling documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe movement of motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists through temporary work areas by properly using signage, cones, barricades, and Stop/Slow paddles.
  • Aid in the placement of signs, cones, and barricades needed for the temporary work zone.
  • Coordinate with fellow crew members and the work zone Supervisor to manage traffic flow safely.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all relevant policies, and regulations.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, actions, or incidents immediately to your or the work zone Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid TCP and/or TWS accreditation for your province.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Background in working on active construction sites with various types of equipment.
  • Strong skills in interacting with colleagues and handling documentation.
