About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused individual to assist our Professional Services Team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to clients by supplying professional and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining policy files and electronic records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process correspondence, invoices, and other documentation as required.
  • Prepare certificate lists, issue certificates of insurance, and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Update renewal lists and ensure all correspondence is accurate and well-timed.
  • Utilize our internal management system EPIC to update information.
Accounting/Premium Finance
  • Monitor and follow up on client accounts receivables with the CSM.
  • Work with the Accounting Department and insurers to resolve discrepancies and related issues.
  • Organize premium financing when required.
Client/Insurer
  • Respond to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters.
  • Issue certificates of insurance and confirm coverage with insurers.
  • Advise clients of any discrepancies between the insurance program and requirements.
  • Assist in preparing underwriting submissions and client proposals.
General
  • Fully comply with BFL policies and procedures.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.
  • Assist teammates to provide excellent client service.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance experience or relevant education.
  • Level 2 license, or working towards.
  • Detailed and conscientious approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, listening, verbal, and written.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional attitude and a desire to grow.
  • Willingness to go beyond job expectations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $52,000 to $80,000, determined by factors including prior experience, location, business segment, and relevance of the candidate's skills to the role. Additionally, we provide a multitude of benefits, including generous medical and dental coverage, telemedicine, employee and family assistance program, and retirement and savings programs.
