At Electronic Arts Inc., we're seeking a skilled Rigging Technical Artist to join our EA SPORTS Tech team. As a key member of our Rigging Team, you'll play a crucial role in pushing visual boundaries and experiences for our players.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility of long-term employment. Our team works in a hybrid model, with 3 days onsite at EA Vancouver.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and leads to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and at quality.
  • Create skeletons, skin characters and objects, and develop control rigs.
  • Develop and maintain assets, and resolve technical or quality issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in cinematic or games production.
  • Background in rigging and skinning complex assets.
  • Effective communication skills with artists, engineers, and managers.
  • Experience with Python scripting and Autodesk Maya.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and animation principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of game engines and character simulation.
  • Experience with Houdini and 3D mathematics.
  • Familiarity with motion capture.

BC Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary ranges for this role in British Columbia are $96,400 - $133,900 CAN Annually.
