POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Rigging Artist within Method's Real-Time division, you will collaborate closely with the CG Supervisor, taking charge of constructing robust and efficient rigs. Your role will involve working alongside the Real-time team to implement and support these rigs effectively.MAIN DUTIES:
The Rigging Artist will engage with the CG Supervisor, along with Rigging, Animation, and Modeling Leads, to ascertain the specific rigging requirements of the production. You will be responsible for designing efficient rigs tailored to the production's needs and providing guidance to modeling teams regarding the suitability of models for rigging and any necessary modifications. Your responsibilities will also include:Creating and implementing scripted solutions to enhance the speed and efficiency of rigging processes.Providing support for all rigged assets throughout the production.Establishing joints and moving points for rotation and pivoting.Designing, testing, and maintaining character setups.Collaborating with animators to develop user-friendly characters.WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a similar capacity. You should be proficient in Unreal and have a clear understanding of its limitations. A strong knowledge of human anatomy, movement dynamics of limbs, the impact of weight, and the behavior of skin and flesh is essential. Additionally, the ability to convey emotion through character facial and physical expressions is crucial. Desired skill sets include:Proficient skills in rigging tools and scripting languages.Experience with industry-standard production software such as Maya or Houdini.Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.Python scripting expertise.Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on inspired leadership.A high degree of self-motivation and the capability to work independently.Familiarity with other software packages, such as Motion Builder, is advantageous.Experience with Linux scripting is considered a plus.ABOUT THE COMPANY:
