Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled multilingual translator to join our team in Montreal, QC. As a Translator (English to French), you will be responsible for translating various financial texts from English to French with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translation of Financial Texts: Translate complex financial texts, including banking practices, legal frameworks, economics, accounting, finance, IT, insurance, investment, credit, marketing, and human resources.
- Utilization of Translation Software: Make optimal use of translation software to ensure consistency within documents and increase efficiency.
- Research and Terminology Development: Conduct research to justify the use of specific terminology and contribute to the development of the department's terminology database.
- Client Satisfaction: Provide high-quality services to clients by meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work effectively with colleagues on larger projects, maintain a harmonious work environment, and consult with other members of the department regarding terminology.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a translator.
- Education: B.A. with specialization in English to French translation.
- Languages: Thorough knowledge of French and English.
- Skills: Attention to detail, good knowledge of translation software and MS Office applications, ability to manage several priorities simultaneously, and ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of bank products and services, and membership of OTTIAQ is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 CAD, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
