About the Company

Scope of Position
The successful candidate will oversee a team responsible for designing and delivering the company's enterprise risk applications known as Risk Information Strategy for the Enterprise (RISE). The key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the corporate risk team and architecture to ensure a fit-for-purpose solution is designed.
- Ensuring compliance with related legislation in partnership with the corporate risk team.
- Managing a large technology team responsible for business analysis, solution design, and technical analysis.
- Directly managing the delivery of central technology solutions including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Implementing consistent application of established project management methodologies in alignment with the enterprise PMO.
- Reconciling and processing invoices and contracts for payment.
- Developing and implementing risk-based internal control measures and monitoring mechanisms; self-assessing, monitoring, and reporting on risk issues; and providing training and promoting awareness of risk and controls within the business.
- Developing, communicating, and executing governance, risk, and control policies and processes.
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance with risk appetite and policies.
Strategic Approach
The ideal candidate must be able to balance immediate problems with long-term strategic thinking.
Key Candidate Qualifications
- Extensive experience in leading and designing complex data-intensive applications.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of banking processes, systems, and methods for regulatory compliance, with a focus on risk management and credit risk.
Education Requirements
- A university or post-graduate degree.
Compensation Package
The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000 - $300,000 based on industry standards and the location of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
