- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, educate, and support patients, promoting a culture of patient-centered care.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, and families, fostering strong relationships and a positive work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and evidence-based care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical knowledge and skills, embracing ongoing learning and professional development.
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS).
- 2 years of Emergency, Critical Care, or Telemetry nursing experience, or 3 years of Medical and Surgical nursing experience.
- Preferred qualifications include IV initiation, Phlebotomy, and Electrocardiogram interpretation skills, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core certifications.
