Job Title: Registered Nurse

Baycrest Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient High Tolerance Rehabilitation Unit (7W). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the unit's mission to help patients achieve maximum physical and functional goals.

Job Summary:

The Inpatient High Tolerance Rehabilitation Unit is a dynamic and supportive environment where patients receive comprehensive care to address their physical, emotional, and social needs. As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient independence and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing interventions, including medication administration and treatments within your scope of practice
  • Collaborate with the care team to meet the personal care, activation, recreation, and spiritual needs of patients
Qualifications:
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate, Level C - Automated External Device (AED)
  • BScN preferred
  • Previous geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Certification in Rehabilitation nursing preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to take professional accountability for leading, organizing, providing, and delegating care activities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills - Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Excel, RM&R Resource Matching and Referral preferred
