Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned finance executive to lead our finance shared services function in Winnipeg, MB. This is an outstanding opportunity to join People Corporation and contribute to our high level of acquisition activity and organic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the finance shared services function across the organization, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial information and compliance with accounting standards and policies.
  • Provide thought leadership, effective prioritization of deliverables, and set the future direction of the finance shared services function.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop and implement operational finance processes and procedures that align with operational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the month-end close process for the Company, enabling timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis that provides financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate financial data.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively build and motivate teams, encourage a culture of accountability, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver change supporting the Company's priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
